About Our Studio
Five Percent Studios is a vibrant and creative project founded by Ahmed Eltayeb, along with co-founder Aaries Harris, two Black students at UC Davis. The name represents the Black American population/student body at Davis, which typically ranges from 3% to 5%. Our goal is to illuminate the underrepresented side of Davis and, eventually, all predominantly white institutions (PWIs) through engaging videos, mainly vlogs, and event recaps. We are passionate about creating content that showcases the Black experience in a light-hearted and impactful way, bringing together a community of people who share this vision.
Who is our Audience?
We aim to connect with the Black community in Davis, Sacramento, and the Bay Area and soon the world. As well as college students and prospective students of UC Davis. Our goal is to fill the gap in student life content by pushing boundaries and providing a unique perspective through our vlogs and videos.
What is our content about?
Our content is lighthearted, funny, bold, boundary-pushing, and unapologetically in-your-face. We strive to create videos that are a little crazy, raunchy and always engaging.
